Violet Blitz is a musician and audio engineer working in recording studios, live sound, theater, and film.

Originally from Bethesda, MD, she now lives in Medford, MA after graduating from Tufts University. she is currently a senior at Tufts University in Medford, MA. Majoring in Music, Sound, and Culture and minoring in Music Engineering and Film and Media Studies, her courses touched on everything from jazz theory to postmodern film to the political impacts of music. She has eleven years of percussion experience as a jazz vibraphonist, rock drummer, orchestral percussionist, and marching band drum major.

Her hobbies of tabletop game design, film production, and science fiction writing also motivate her interests in contemporary composition, interactive sound art, and experimental recording techniques.
